Episode 55 | Creativity in your Home
Tuesday Jan 05, 2021
Tuesday Jan 05, 2021
Walking through some condos recently with a buyer got me thinking about creativity and how you can explore the creative side of yourself at home. Some think you have to be an artist to be creative, when in fact, that isn’t true at all. Music and cooking, candle making, and gardening are all ways to explore creativity at home. This episode explores what it means to be creative within the walls of your home as well as using creative decision-making to morph your home into a true expression of those living there.

All of the products are made by Syrian and Iraqi refugees who are working to rebuild their lives and provide for their families. They make the most delicious-smelling candles and soaps, plus super comfy sweatshirts. I have one of their candles in every room of my house. I tend to buy a bunch of them at once and give them to all my friends. These women are strong, powerful, and unbelievably resilient. I am in complete awe of their ability to shed the past and focus on the future. Every time I burn one of their candles, it’s a reminder of the fortitude of the human spirit.”
