Episode 55 | Creativity in your Home
Tuesday Jan 05, 2021
Tuesday Jan 05, 2021
Walking through some condos recently with a buyer got me thinking about creativity and how you can explore the creative side of yourself at home. Some think you have to be an artist to be creative, when in fact, that isn’t true at all. Music and cooking, candle making, and gardening are all ways to explore creativity at home. This episode explores what it means to be creative within the walls of your home as well as using creative decision-making to morph your home into a true expression of those living there.

Change is constant and it tends to manifest nervous anticipation of what is to come. One of the best ways of coping is to focus on what is stable. This is where traditions come in. They bring meaning to our lives and give us a sense of belonging. This episode is about creating wonderful traditions NOT associated with gathering in groups. They make the most delicious-smelling candles and soaps, plus super comfy sweatshirts. I have one of their candles in every room of my house. I tend to buy a bunch of them at once and give them to all my friends. These women are strong, powerful, and unbelievably resilient. Episode 46 | The Haunting of a House
Monday Oct 12, 2020
Monday Oct 12, 2020
Let’s dive into the spooky aspect of a home…the haunting of a home and the energy that can remain long after people have left. Let’s talk about the psychology of what makes a house feel haunted and I’ll share a real-life story and talk about the inhabitants with Dr. Kristy Sumner a paranormal investigator where she shares the details of an investigation in a house on a lake. Something is still there, moving around, lurking in the shadows, making curious unexplainable noises. Parental discretion is advised due to the graphic nature in which some people meet their demise and the discussion of the afterlife and darker things.

In 2014, Dr. Kristy Sumner coupled her passion for travel, history and the paranormal when she formed Soul Sisters Paranormal, an all-female team, traveling to some of the most historic, and reportedly haunted, locations in the U.S. in an attempt to determine for themselves if spirit activity does exist and to highlight the rich history of each location. Individually, each member of the team is an accomplished professional in her respective field, and each holds a Masters, PhD or JD degree.
